"Living life as a poem" , by Erik Pevernagie, oil on paper, 88 x 66 cm
Ephemeral emotions can be saved in the backyard of our memory. Beauty and poetry are stored in the mind and illuminate our thoughts.
When a little girl's aura is caught in the magic of a moment and unveiled anonymously by the beholder's eye, it can be experienced as poetry and turned into an artistic perception. It arouses a cluster of sparkling fireworks in the mind and becomes a poem with a fascinating blend of marvel and enjoyment.
Such poems are very fragile, though, and may arouse a feeling of fear. It is the fear of losing touch of grace and being torn away from a mutual bond of emotional complicity.
We find beauty and poetry in the garden of our recollection. In this way, temporality receives lifelong survival.
Stars in the sky will always glitter if we are not blinded by the erosion of our emotions, or hampered by our lack of interest and awareness.
